Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has invited online applications from eligible meritorious sportspersons for recruitment to Head Constable (General Duty) and Constable (General Duty) posts under the Sports Quota 2026.

Vacancies are available across various sports disciplines including Athletics, Aquatics, Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Football, Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Karate, Shooting, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Water Sports, Weightlifting, Wushu, Wrestling and Yoga.
🎓 Educational Qualification
Head Constable/GD: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University.
Constable/GD: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.
🎯 Age Limit
18–23 years as on 01 August 2026, subject to applicable age relaxations under the recruitment rules.
🏅 Sports Eligibility
The recruitment is specifically for meritorious sportspersons meeting the sports achievement criteria specified in the notification. Eligible achievements include specified International, National, Inter-University, Junior National, Khelo India and School-level competitions, depending on the post and discipline.
Sports achievements considered for recruitment must fall within the prescribed period, with the notification specifying 30 September 2024 to 30 September 2026 for eligible achievements.
💰 Salary / Pay Scale
- Head Constable/GD: Pay Level 4 — ₹25,500–₹81,100
- Constable/GD: Pay Level 3 — ₹21,700–₹69,100
- Other admissible allowances such as DA and HRA are applicable as per Government rules.
📏 Physical Standards
Height:
- Male: 170 cm
- Female: 157 cm
Certain categories are eligible for prescribed height relaxation.
Male Chest:
- Unexpanded: 80 cm
- Minimum expansion: 5 cm
Weight should be proportionate to height and age according to medical standards.
📝 Selection Process
The recruitment process includes:
- Identity & Biometric Verification
- Document Verification
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Sports Trial Test
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- Review Medical Examination (where applicable)
- Final Merit List
The Sports Trial Test is qualifying in nature, while the merit list is prepared based on marks awarded for sports certificates/achievements.
💳 Application Fee
- ₹100: Male candidates belonging to UR/OBC/EWS categories
- No fee: Female candidates, SC/ST candidates and Ex-Servicemen
