ONGC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – 3,047 Vacancies

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has invited online applications for engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. According to Advertisement No. ONGC/APPR/1/2026, the notification was issued on 29 October 2026, covering opportunities across 24 work centres in India.

The recruitment includes ITI, 10th, 12th, diploma and graduate-level apprenticeship trades under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).

• 12th pass: Fire Safety Technician (Oil & Gas).

• ITI: COPA, Draughtsman (Civil), Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Diesel Mechanic, Welder and other specified trades.

• B.Com: Executive Finance and Accounts Executive.

• B.Sc Chemistry: Lab Chemist/Analyst – Petroleum Products.

• BBA: Executive HR – Oil & Gas.

• Any graduate: Secretarial Office Assistant – Oil & Gas and Store Keeper (Petroleum Products).

• Diploma: Specified engineering disciplines.

• Engineering degree: Specified graduate engineering executive disciplines.

• Graduate with Geology: Petroleum Executive.

Candidates must meet the exact trade-specific qualification requirements in the notification.

4. Age limit

• Minimum age: 18 years

• Maximum age: 24 years

• Age calculated as on: 29 November 2026

• Date of birth should fall between 29 November 2002 and 29 November 2008.

Age relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years

• PwBD: Up to 10 years, with additional relaxation specified for SC/ST and OBC-NCL candidates.
  5. Monthly stipend

The training period is 12 months. ONGC states that TA/DA, boarding, lodging and transportation expenses will not be provided.

6. Selection process

1. Online applications received through the applicable NAPS/NATS portals will be consolidated.

2. Applications will be scrutinised for eligibility.

3. A provisional merit list will be prepared based on marks in the qualifying examination.

4. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.

5. The final merit list will be prepared after verification.

There is no interview stage mentioned in the notification’s selection procedure.
